Do you have five or more vehicles? Make sure your cars, vans and trucks (and their drivers) are covered in the event of an accident by taking out motor fleet insurance. Here’s some information that might come in handy:
There are three types of cover:
Open Drive
Any person between a certain age (normally 17-70 for full and 23-70 for restricted) and who has the policy holder’s permission is allowed to drive the vehicle as long as they have a full clean/unendorsed Irish driving licence.
Driver Cover
It’s important to note that these policies do not cover the driver in the case of accidental injury. A separate Personal Accident policy needs to be taken out for drivers.
