AssuredPartners and GMIB.ie acquire Fitzgerald Insurances
AssuredPartners and Gallivan Murphy Insurance Brokers have acquired Cork firm Fitzgerald Insurances.
Established by Don Fitzgerald in 1968 and run today by Kieran and Marion Fitzgerald, the Kanturk brokerage provides general insurance services to over 7,000 commercial and personal customers around the Munster area.
Since acquiring GMIB in June 2022, AssuredPartners has also taken on O’Callaghan Insurances, O’Donovan Insurances and Sayers Insurances.
Following this most recent acquisition, total annual gross written premium at AssuredPartners Ireland will exceed €125m and the firm expects to add a further €75m over the next year through a combination of organic and acquisition growth, aiming for close to 4% market share.
