GMIB.ie Kicking Challenge gets over 80k views
Football fans all over the country were left awestruck this past week when a shoot-out between Kerry stars David Clifford and Shane Murphy went viral online.
Clifford, who recently joined the GMIB team as a Brand Ambassador, and Murphy, one of our Personal Lines Sales Executives, were taking part in the GMIB.ie Kicking Challenge at the Fitzgerald Stadium in Killarney.
After a string of remarkable kicks from the sidelines and even the corner flag, Clifford just about came out on top in the tie-breaker when he hit the crossbar with his very first attempt.
The tense shootout proved popular with the national media and was featured on the websites of The Irish Sun, The Irish Mirror, SportsJoe.ie and Buzz.ie, amongst others.
The video also featured prominently on the Off the Ball video podcast which was broadcast on YouTube last Thursday morning.
To date, the video has been viewed by over 80,000 people.
